The oscars where not the best I've ever seen I even thought that they where quite boring (Ok I missed the first half because I fell asleep on my couch *blush*)

It is, indeed, and aside from being a terrific actress, Minnie's also a fabulously talented (yet extremely underrated) singer-songwriter (although she didn't write that song, of course). I highly recommend checking out her album Everything I've Got in My Pocket.

I always was a fan of her acting work, Circle of friends is actualy one of my favorite movies and whenever it comes on tv I'm sure gona watch it again *G* And after seeing her in Ella Enchanted wich is one of my favorite children books I loved her even more, she was perfect in that role.
I never knew that she was singing too, but I think her voice is really pretty. I would check it out but in germany we sadly don't get most of those "actor albums".

lol!! My sister and I wanted to watch the Oscars, too. We had everything ready for the night of nights (pizza, chips, chocolate, and, of course, champagne) when my sister fell asleep on the couch before the show even started and I went to bed soon after that, too. Also before the actual show started. So don't feel bad about missing the first half. ;)
But it seems like I haven't missed anything by not watching it. Did "Der Untergang" win?? I so wanted that movie to win!

I was hoping that too but no it didn't win. the movie from espania won the oscar *sigh*
But eternal sunshine got an oscar for best screenplay *weeee* and you havn't missed anything (at least from where I was watching), you only missed the most boring gags ever and a sweaty slimy antonio banderas *shudder*

lol!! I saw Banderas on the red carpet. He acted like he was on drugs. So did his wife. These two are a weird couple...

I never saw Eternal *G* but I really want because I saw the making off and I loved it.

Banderas and Griffith are more than weird lol. But like I said I missed the carpet *sigh* I wonder how Anke Engelke stand her woman *G* I don't really like her and I loved the lecture she became before the carpet like "dont touch the star yada yada" *G*

Red carpet with Anke Engelke was boring. And weird. She had this guy with her who had to get the stars to come talk to Anke cause appearently she couldn't do it on her own.... At one point he left, and Anke got upset. And when this guy got Clive Owens (or whatever his name is) to talk to Anke she just talked to the camera and completely ignored Clive. Then she was like "Hey! Sorry I'm talking to the audience in Germany.". You could tell that Clive felt stupid. Anke told Scarlett Johansson that her tiara doesn't fit right, and to Halle Berry that she (Anke) is wearing the earrings Halle was supposed to wear and Halle was like "I've never seen these earings ever before in my life!" but Anke insisted that she must have seen them before. Why would she do that?? But she talked to Leo diCaprio in german and he understood! :) Kate Winslet was very nice and so natural.

You have to watch Eternal! It's such lovely movie but weird weird weird! :) I love Jim Carrey and I adore Kate Winslet.
