I saw my first episode of Coronation street today and wow this one blonde guy (who has this secret love thing with the other guy going on) was totaly hot. I was yelling at my screen "oh god please do naughty things to me" and thats not my usual reaction *wow*
hes a total hot ass ;)

Ohh, that was last Friday's episode (Todd was mean, MEAN! I think Karl should punish him . . . mmm ;). You reeeally need to watch Monday's episodes. Karl is looking too fucking good, and he's in a towel for most of the scenes.

Erm, okay, Todd/Karl backstory. I only started watching at the Canal Street kiss, but I've gleaned what came previously from lurking in the fandom . . .

Todd met Karl when he started his job at the hospital (Todd's a porter; Karl's a nurse), and for some reason they went to a Badly Drawn Boy concert together, with Sarah (Todd's fiancee) and Katy (part-time fag hag, and Sarah's step-dad's girlfriend). Todd found out Karl was gay (and I think there was some kind of near-kiss between them) and got really freaked out and started being really cold towards him. Then they got stuck in a lift together (!) and Todd confessed that the whole gay thing had freaked him out, which got Karl thinking . . . (hmmm ;)

Then Karl's birthday rolled around, and being the Big Gay Cliche that he is, he organized a party on Canal Street (the main gay area in Manchester, and where the original Queer As Folk was set). Todd bought Karl a shirt (he loves him, see, LOVES HIM!). Anyway, Sarah, who was supposed to be going to the party as well, cancelled, so the party ended up pretty much being Karl and Todd. Cue fun scenes on Canal Street with random guys checking Todd out. This freaked Todd out a bit (being so, y'know, *straight*), and he went to leave. Karl followed him out and Todd ended up kissing him. (Then Sarah turned up, and the mood was kind of ruined.)

A lot of angst followed that (Todd angsts a *lot*), as Todd continued to deny that he wanted Karl. But then he ended up spilling that he was in love with another man to his mum. Which led to the greatest exposition ever, as Eileen (Todd's mum) sought Karl out to have a nice chat -- and accidentally revealed to him that Todd was in love with him. A little while later, Todd turned up at Karl's flat to explain to Karl that he's not gay *reeeally* and he just wants to be friends. Cue Karl pinning Todd to the door (::dies::) and demanding to know if what his mum said was true. This led to the most poorly insinuated gay sex scene ever, but we were supposed to believe that Todd and Karl had started sleeping together. (Yayness.)

The most recent developments have been that Katy found out about T&K, and is now threatening to tell Sarah . . .
